My Story

LET ME TELL YOU MORE ABOUT MYSELF

I am a full-time Science Fiction and Fantasy writer.

2017 was my first full year as an indie writer, and I was fortunate enough to become a *swallow* “real” author. Getting laid off from my IT job kind of helped along the decision-making process regarding writing full time. I’m a member of the SFWA and I’m still trying to figure out what that means.

I’m probably best known for the Delvers LLC series, and for my o̶b̶s̶e̶s̶s̶i̶o̶n̶ love for the GameLit genre of fiction.

There is the world that should be and the world that is. We live in one and must create the other.

About my Books

I became a writer out of frustration.

As a reader, I was tired of not finding the types of stories I wanted to read, so… I wrote them. This is actually a fairly common origin story for a lot of writers. We’re all such huge book junkies that we start making our own stash.

I am fascinated with GameLit, Portal Fiction, and fantasy cultures. It’s probably not a great surprise that my stories tend to feature these themes.

Most of what I write is adult fantasy and science fiction. I don’t write for one gender or the other. Some stories will probably be more relatable to women, and some to men. I really don’t care. My imagination doesn’t have a gender.

Violence and social issues tend to be realistic in my writing. This isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but as a reader, I got really tired of reading a million sword fights written by writers who had never held a sword before.

We all have our own varying suspensions of disbelief. I hope you enjoy visiting my worlds.
